Island, NY – May 30, 1985 in Fountain Valley, California) was Playboy magazine’s
Playmate of the month for March 1967. Fran was the
first Playmate to wear eyeglasses for her centerfold. Her vitals were 5’ 2", 110 lbs,
39-24-35½, and she was the bustiest Playmate up to that
time. Her centerfold in the March 1967
issue was photographed by Mario Casilli and Gene Trindl.Born Frances Anna
Camuglia, she worked for and married Jack L. Cavender, who used the name of
Jack Gemini, astrologer to the stars in May 1966. Fran was 18 years old and Cavender was 37 years old, more
than twice her age. The marriage only lasted 7 months. Fran Camuglia lived in
the Los Angeles area and was a member of the Granada Hills High School class of
1966. Fran and Jack Cavender divorced in January 1967, shortly before her
Playboy centerfold appeared. She remarried in 1970 in Las Vegas to Maximilian Anthony
Rey of New Mexico. Little is known about either of her husbands. She died in
Fountain View, California on May 30, 1985. It has been
alleged that Fran Gerard committed suicidein Fountain Valley, California in 1985, however a search of an
online California death records database returned no results. Her date of birth, given as March 23, 1948 on
the Playboy website, may actually have been March 24, according to one record.
